About Charmion
Hi! I'm Charmion, owner of CharmionSpeaks! And this website is where I will document everything to build a startup from the ground up! Follow along on this journey to get all the steps I'm taking - from idea to execution - to plan and launch my startup.
The BackStory
Together with my partner (also my husband), we are building a software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup.
With more than 20 years of experience, working in different companies, in different countries, on different continents, we have identified an issue to be solved. Now, part of the is to determine how big of a problem it is. We certainly think it is, but it needs validation. So we embark on this startup journey. And I'm going to track our progress.
Why do this?
Well, as you can tell, the issue has been around for a while. But we never thought it was the right time – with life an' all... We both have jobs, a young family and another business.
But as we've thought about it more and more, there's never a right time! And if other like-minded people like yourself can benefit from our experience, then why not?
CharmionSpeaks begins
CharmionSpeaks started as a project to track our progress as we build a brand online. Our goal is to create a brand that people will love, using tried and proven techniques to build our business for the long term.
This has now evolved into tracking the process and progress of building a SaaS startup. We will be sharing the process, the lessons we've learned, the emotional journey, our successes and our failures. Now, we're working on a SaaS project. Yours might be something else – eCommerce, Affiliate Marketing, a service... Whatever it is, you can apply most of the process to your business.
